• The first ever electric excavator by JCB is powered by numerous battery modules
• The state of charge of all modules require balancing to prevent high current flow when first connecting
• This process was done manually on the production line

• Design, manufacture and supply of a lineside 4-channel automatic battery balancer
• Required to be a simple go/no go system
• Required to be safe
• External power and comms harnesses also required
