Team Hypermotive were at Whilton Mill Karting & Outdoor Activities supporting Karun Chandhok’s Karting Karnival raising money for underprivileged children.

Hypermotive’s CCO Brad O’Nians, Business Development Manager Oli Knights and Manufacturing Engineering Manager Liam Savage were ready for the challenge ahead against a stacked field of professional drivers.

After an eventful day with 4 kart failures, including total brake failure (scary), a couple of spins and a penalty for Brad the goal was simply to get through the heat race and into the grand final. Here the top 12 teams from each heat would complete for the final honours.

It wasn’t looking good after the penalty but the team dug deep and made a superb comeback to finish p10 in the heat and qualify for the final.

Starting the final in p20 against a top class field, Team Hypermotive battled hard and fought their way up to finish a very credible p13 out of 54 teams that started the day.
